Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that challenges traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden group.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside several items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Exclusive arms
- Survey Corps steed
Newest Free Story Update
This patch also brings the game's third free story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature techniques: Naoe introduces a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
